Your role at Clorox:

We are seeking a diligent and strategically minded Assistant Manager - Corporate Financial Planning to join our world-class Finance team at The Clorox Company. This outstanding opportunity will enable you to be at the forefront of our financial strategies, driving excellence in corporate financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible primarily for consolidation of closes and forecasts, key reporting, and controls. To be successful, you must possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills and be an agent of change.

In this role, you will:

Financial Planning and Reporting

  • Close & Forecasting: Lead key monthly close and forecast processes like BU/functional consolidations, reconciliations and corporate-level adjustments.
  • Management updates: Own executive close reporting deck and WD6 early P&L review providing insights that contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial plans and performance vs expectations. Own key report distribution through centralized IR Hub, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy and reflection of changing SEC requirements.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach by proactively identifying, championing and driving operational improvements through partnerships with Business Units, Cost and Forecast teams.

Financial Analysis and Modeling

  • Financial Modeling: Own portfolio segmentation exercises, “four-quadrant” graphic representations for forecasts, and other ad-hoc analyses.
  • Decision support: Provide thought leadership and financial expertise to strategic decisions.

Internal Controls

  • Support extensive internal controls processes for financial planning ensuring no material deficiencies, partnering with Business Units on control requirements and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Perform monthly HFM to Essbase tie-out process to ensure both systems match at the total company level.
  • Ensure controls environment optimally transitions from legacy systems to Anaplan/Vista.

What we look for:

  • +5 years of shown experience in Financial, Planning and Analysis
  • SAP experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated financial information clearly to non-financial personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to unforeseen circumstances.

Desirable

  • Power BI experience
  • AnaPlan experience

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
