Your role at Clorox:

Job Description Summary
This leader is responsible for overseeing the HSE function and related activities in their plants. This leader ensures that their plant successfully fulfills enterprise HSE policies, programs, and priorities, collaborates with the other plant functions to support plant HSE needs, and creates a strong plant safety culture. In addition, this leader will be a part of the plant leadership squad.

In this role, you will:

  • Create processes to ensure a safe working environment throughout the plant.

  • Develop and execute a safety incident investigation process for root cause analysis and action planning to eliminate future risks.

  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain compliance with OSHA and Clorox standards.

  • Serve as the point of contact for safety and environmental inspectors, maintaining a professional relationship with them.

  • Collaborate to align capital and investment plans with high-priority HSE needs.

  • Offer recommendations for safe engagement between employees and machines when introducing new equipment or technologies.

  • Support the establishment of metrics to achieve HSE goals.

  • Conduct on-site HSE assessments to identify and address out-of-compliance behaviors or conditions.

  • Develop and lead the Zero Waste to Landfill strategy.

  • Achieve “World Class” HSE results, including reducing injuries, violations, spills, and environmental incidents, and implementing effective reporting and risk reduction measures.

What we look for:

  • 3+ years proven performance developing, implementing, managing, and achieving safety deliverables

  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

  • College Degree

  • Understanding and working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA)

  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing tools (i.e. Lean Mfg., Six Sigma, Autonomous maintenance, Focused Improvement, Kaizen, SMED, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of environmental regulatory management

  • Collaborates effectively and frequently with key stakeholders; is a trusted advisor who can influence HSE-related decisions

  • Leading safety programs to achieve Zero Incidents

  • Building Safety Culture, analyzing trend data, and building programs to improve performance as well as to prevent incidents

  • Mentoring teams, motivating employees, coaching senior management

  • Designing and supplying meaningful leading and lagging metric data for the organization

  • Implementation of safety programs

  • Safety project management

  • Safety & Environmental certifications (Preferred)

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
