The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This temporary position reports to the Director of Development, and provides administrative support for the overall development activities of the School of the Arts, including extensive correspondence with donors, assisting with stewardship activities, events, and preparing fundraising materials. The incumbent supports the department’s work to raise funds, organize cultivation events, prepare stewardship reports, and help with general office assistance.


Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist with the preparation of reports, proposals, correspondence, solicitation materials, stewardship reports, and memoranda.
  • Support the production and distribution of fundraising and stewardship mailings; assist with gift tracking, comparative reporting, and donor acknowledgment letters.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of stewardship reports, grant reports, and other donor-facing communications.
  • Maintain and update mailing lists and collaborate with departments across the School and the Office of Alumni Relations and Development to support fundraising and engagement activities.
  • Enter, maintain, and track donor and prospect information and activity within UpRoar, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate mailing lists, coordinate event-related administrative support, and assist with development and alumni engagement events.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience working in an office environment and performing administrative support functions.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Database management experience and/or desktop publishing required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, and oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work on concurrent projects and multiple deadlines with minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to work with high-level individuals and to handle sensitive and confidential material with tact and discretion required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated use of initiative required.
