The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Research Data Analyst supports the management, organization, and analysis of multimodal research data, including neuroimaging, clinical, and behavioral datasets. The role is responsible for maintaining data workflows, supporting analytic pipelines, and ensuring data quality and integrity across NIH-funded studies. The incumbent collaborates with investigators and research staff to facilitate reproducible analyses and efficient data use in support of scientific publications and presentations.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, organize, and maintain research datasets, including MRI, clinical, and behavioral data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data security standards.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of neuroimaging data processing pipelines (e.g., fMRI preprocessing workflows) in collaboration with technical staff.
  • Conduct data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis using established statistical and computational methods.
  • Write and maintain scripts for data processing and analysis (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Unix)
  • Collaborate with investigators and external partners to facilitate data access, sharing, and reproducibility of workflows.
  • Generate reports, summaries, and visualizations to support research findings and publications.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, psychology, statistics, computer science, or a related field, plus four years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years of relevant experience in data management, data analysis, or research support
  • Experience working with neuroimaging or MRI data
  • Familiarity with neuroimaging preprocessing tools (e.g., FSL, AFNI, SPM, fMRIprep)
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting
  • Experience supporting academic manuscripts or presentations

Other Requirements

  • Experience with data cleaning, organization, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with working with large or complex datasets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
