You Will:

• Coordinates quality assurance activities including audits, training, and purchasing

• Lead the quality team to ensure all needs are met

• Manage quality direct reports schedules

• Partner with facility staff on quality and staff concerns and address

• Verify operations control systems are functional and being followed

• Place product on hold, release, or disposition

• Manage communication with internal departments and 3rd party logistics/warehousing

• Evaluate damaged products for quality/food safety defects

• Coordinate resolution and draft responses for customer complaints

• Track and Enter data on weekly/monthly Quality department reports

• Ensure SPC Management practices are followed

• BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree required. Education may be substituted for years of experience

• 3-5 years related experience required preferably in the food industry. Food industry leadership experience

• Experience with Food Safety Guidelines/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HAACP Plans and safe practices

• Understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA)

• HACCP, PCQI, SQF Practitioner Certifications

Compensation:

Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - $104,000.00
