You will be flexible to work in various roles based on business priorities. Positions are being added to 1st and 2nd shift (total of five (5)) job opportunities. The hourly rate $18.77/hour plus $0.25/hour 2nd shift premium (if applicable).You will be assigned to work either first or second shift. You will be scheduled for overtime based on production demand to include weekend work.
Position Summary:
The Seeder Operator is responsible for maintaining consistent and correct spice dispensing to the production line. This position is responsible for understanding and applying the plant allergen controls process and logging all appropriate documentation. The operator is responsible for verification of proper spice as required by the SKU on daily schedule.
Essential Duties:
Maintain consistent and correct spice dispensing to the production line.
Perform the operation of required machinery and equipment and ensure that it is properly functioning.
Perform the operation of required computer software programs and report any issues with functionality.
Perform minor routine maintenance by disassembling, cleaning and reassembling machinery in accordance with safety and quality cleaning standards.
Complete all job duties in accordance with the standard work instructions.
Utilize high performance organization methods and processes where applicable.
Ensure all documentation is completed and maintained accurately, neatly, and legibly.
Complete miscellaneous tasks associated with the position and demonstrate a willingness to take on additional job duties as needed.
Stay productive at all times and meet the requirements of the job with minimal supervision.
Train employees on job specific duties as needed following safe, quality work methods and standards.
Obtain and maintain up to date Lock Out Tag Out certification.
Maintain and demonstrate an understanding of processing specifications for varying products and materials.
Understand and support the company quality and environmental mission and objectives.
Recognize and identify any foreign or defective materials or products and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
Accurately perform and document quality checks specific to the operation.
Ensure proper quantities of product are given to the lines.
Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Continuously inspect workstation(s) to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
Follow safe work practices and GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained in accordance with company policy.
Key Competencies:
Be dependable, self-motivated and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Be able to recognize and establish priorities as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and interpret a wide variety of documents, including but not limited to, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Understand basic math and counting skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Use math skills to accurately use and read various forms of measurements and instruments.
Effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and, when necessary, in writing with all levels of employees.
