Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Oakdale, CA manufacturing facility, you will lead and help implement a facility-wide EHS culture through technical support and program development. Implement safety concepts to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class performance. Analyze accident data to identify trends and accident types that can be prevented.

What Impact Will You Have on our Business?

  • Manage all aspects of environmental, health, safety and sustainable development programs
  • Direct environmental compliance and performance functions following government regulations, corporate compliance guidelines and applicable environmental requirements.
  • Implement environmental concepts and maintains documentation to complete all environmental reporting promptly and ensures ongoing environmental compliance.
  • Promote an accident-free work environment by developing programs that train, monitor and assure a safe workplace.
  • Support accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agencies
  • Conduct inspections and audits in plant to detect existing or potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures
  • Lead the EH&S Pillar team
  • Administer initial Workers Compensation functions
  • Guide and direct plant toward compliance of State, Federal and local Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Determine and direct necessary compliance training for all individuals to assure OSHA, TOSHA, EPA and Conagra training requirements

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health or related degree
  • Five years manufacturing safety experience
  • 3 - 5 years Experience leading teams and project management
  • Experience with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations
  • Understanding of State and Federal regulations and applicability to facility
  • Experience performing risk assessments and leading audits

Compensation:

Annual Base Salary: $104,000.00 - $152,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
