Job Summary

As a 3rd shift maintenance supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance department, production lines and affiliated equipment, building and grounds. Schedule work and personnel to meet production demands, maintain the preventative maintenance system and work toward meeting the plants safety and uptime goals. Control maintenance expenses by managing overtime and parts expenses weekly.

You will also establish and maintain mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety provide environmental security and maximize the plant's availability, product quality, and cost effectiveness. Other primary responsibilities include ownership of the plant's PM/PdM activities; leadership of equipment performance tracking and repair/improvement prioritization; technical guidance of mechanical craftsmen; and engineering support of maintenance and capital projects.

Position Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule work force for use of employees.
  • Monitor downtime occurrences to maintain operations.
  • Monitor the efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention for maintenance and mechanical trends.
  • Train, motivate and direct employees to follow safe work methods and standard
  • procedures to ensure efficient use of employees.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve Our goals
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with USDA officials
  • Control labor costs
  • Purchase of supplies and repair parts with regard to quality
  • Control departmental overtime
  • Monitor the machinery and equipment to ensure safety of the employees
  • Enforce the plant's safety program.
  • Compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain equipment for efficient operation within maintenance budget; operate within the constraint of the union contract and USDA regulations
  • Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiencies of the production lines.
  • Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities including oil analysis, vibration analysis, engine-compressor analysis, and infrared thermography.
  • You will evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of personnel and resources in maximizing equipment reliability.
  • Involves all associates in a team concept, keeping personnel safety, food safety and uptime as the top priorities.

Position Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Previous management experience required
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs. Knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principals.
  • Experienced at writing: employee appraisals/evaluations, Maintenance procedures and Job Descriptions.
  • CAD/Drafting experience desirable.

You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. You must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. Compensation:

Pay Range:$62,000-$91,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
