Lab Technician III

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological testing and monitoring to ensure product safety and quality.
- Organize and manage nutritional compliance sampling.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of sampling, testing, and results.
- Support the department during key food safety and regulatory audits.
- Provide food safety training to Quality Assurance and Production associates.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct weight control studies using Statistical Quality Control principles.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with organizational standards and specifications.
- Perform sampling and testing of ingredients, components, and finished products for both analytical and physical testing.
- Conduct thorough facility inspections to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Complete routine and assigned reports and summaries in a timely manner.
- Provide coverage for Quality Assurance associates during their time off.
- Maintain laboratory specification and procedure documentation.
- Conduct specified process evaluations to assess equipment operating conditions, variability, and control.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of Quality Systems and program execution.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) throughout the plant, including pre-shipment reviews.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of HACCP and SSOP plans.
- Experience with aseptic plating techniques.
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring programs, including foodborne pathogens and indicator organisms, as well as sanitary design principles.
- Ability to lead and conduct monitoring activities effectively.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
- Proficient in SAP.
- Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is preferred.
Compensation:
Pay Range:$49,000-$65,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
