Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement, as the Manager of Statistical Process Control (SPC) you'll be responsible for developing, deploying, and sustaining SPC methodologies and digital technologies across Conagra's manufacturing network. You'll lead the design, piloting, and scaling of SPC systems to reduce process variation, drive waste elimination, and strengthen compliance with food safety, regulatory, customer, and consumer standards. You'll build SPC capability at the site level by coaching and developing process experts and engineers embedded in line structure teams.

SPC Strategy & Deployment

  • In partnership with the Director of Process Control, Manufacturing Excellence Team and the Technical Transformation Team, develop and implement Conagra's SPC strategy, aligned to manufacturing goals.
  • Pilot and deploy SPC technology solutions and methodologies across plants, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
  • Define and standardize SPC procedures, control plans, and governance across multiple product categories.

Capability Building & Coaching

  • Partner with site-based process experts and engineers to embed SPC principles into daily management systems (DMS) and daily line structure routines.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and tools to improve SPC proficiency across all levels.
  • Be a mentor and subject matter expert to build a pipeline of SPC leaders and practitioners.

Operational Excellence & Waste Elimination

  • Analyze process data alongside the Industrial Engineering team to identify sources of variation, waste, and yield loss; lead structured problem-solving to address root causes.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Excellence, Food Safety & Quality, R&D, Operations and Engineering teams to integrate SPC programs into Conagra Performance System and applicable standards.
  • Improve process capability indices (Cp, Cpk) and defect reduction.

Technology & Analytics

  • Collaborate with IT and Digital Operations to deploy SPC digital tools, dashboards, and real-time monitoring systems.
  • Use Digital Operations and IE teams to build data visualization and advanced analytics to inform decision-making and enable predictive process control.
  • Stay up to date with industry innovations in SPC software, automation, and statistical techniques.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure SPC practices support food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, GFSI, customer specifications).
  • Maintain documentation, audits, and reporting systems to demonstrate compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Represent SPC in cross-functional governance forums, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering roles, with at least 3 years focused on SPC systems.
  • Experience implementing SPC in a large, multi-site, regulated environment.
  • Experience coaching technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with SPC methodologies (control charts, process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, DOE).
  • Proficiency with SPC software and data analytics tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, InfinityQS, Power BI, SQL).
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or equivalent continuous improvement systems.
  • Experience with change management and influencing skills in complex organizations.
  • The ability to translate technical concepts into practical applications for diverse audiences.
  • Build organizational capability and guide cultural adoption of process control.
  • We ask that you travel 50%
  • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations Denver, CO and east and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport

Compensation:

Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
