Manager Transportation

Reporting to the Senior Director of Transportation and Warehouse Operations, you will lead transportation planning and execution across suppliers, manufacturing locations, co-packers, and distribution centers to achieve service, cost, and operational excellence objectives. You will oversee transportation operations planning activities across multiple transportation modes, develop logistics strategies, improve transportation performance, and build scalable processes that enhance efficiency and on-time delivery performance. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and collaboration across supply chain functions to drive continuous improvement.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Lead the Transportation Operations Planning team to deliver service, cost, and operational performance objectives.
- Partner with Transportation Procurement and Logistics Operations leaders to develop and execute transportation and logistics strategies.
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales & Operations Planning teams to support service requirements, capacity fluctuations, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage carrier relationships and scorecard processes to improve transportation service levels and cost performance.
- Hire, coach, develop, and mentor transportation planning team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Leverage Oracle Transportation Management and related systems to strengthen transportation capabilities, reporting, analytics, and process efficiency.
- Develop, standardize, and implement operating procedures to create repeatable and scalable transportation processes.
- Analyze transportation performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead projects that enhance service and reduce costs.
- Develop recommendations regarding carriers, transportation programs, and rate structures based on business needs and performance analysis.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Previous supply chain experience required.
- Experience leading teams in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional partners and third-party service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Oracle Transportation Management, SAP, or similar transportation and enterprise systems preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation modes, transportation metrics, routing concepts, and transportation rate structures preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of distribution operations and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- High sense of urgency with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Physical Requirements
- This hybrid role does not require regular work at or routine visits to manufacturing facilities.

Compensation
Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
