TD Testing and Quality Engineering (QE) covers a specialized area dedicated to high-quality application and solution delivery. Similar to industry trends, TD's definition of this area of discipline (as well as skill and knowledge requirements) has changed over time. One thing hasn't changed – experts in this area remain highly-marketable across businesses. Some of our testing activities may focus on system integration, business acceptance, performance, operability and deployment verification. Quality Assurance activities, in contrast, give stakeholders information about product or service quality while allowing the business to appreciate and understand any implementation risks. Many of our Test Engineers could be involved in end-to-end delivery of testing, or more focused on a specific discipline.
Daas is responsible for the organization, management, and oversight of customer data and related solutions for the enterprise, including operational platforms, analytical data stores, data management solutions and customer communication capabilities. Our highly-coveted Data Engineers are interspersed amongst many areas of focus: innovation, design, execution, testing, maintenance, strategy, portfolio management. Role Accountabilities
- Approach the tasks with passion and disruptive mindset, challenge existing paradigms and help us define and develop best-practices, automation frameworks/Jenkins integrated.
- Gather, interpret and analyze data requirements from business analyst other stakeholders.
- Create an automation driven test strategy, define what test cases can be automatable and work on executing this plan.
- Solid hands-on automation experience using Jenkins, Java,python and Selenium.
- Provide support to your technology peers and the business, join forces to deliver solutions.
- Work in an agile/waterfall environment using tools such as Jira/Confluence to analyze, develop, debug, execute, document test cases, log defects, and help resolve them during each sprint/phase.
- Participate in team meetings, collaborate with others to provide a status report of work accomplished, work in progress, problems / issues encountered, and quickly help resolve them.
- Good experience in cloud testing, backend database ETL testing, BDD (Behavior driven development) for accelerating automation testing
- Understanding of the DevOps pipeline for Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing
- Accountable for all project test activities as part of End-to-End testing (e.g. integration, shakedown, functional, orchestration testing)
- Document and share knowledge through personal and virtual collaboration
- Champion TD's technology delivery practices, standards and project management disciplines
- Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise, keep current
- Coach colleagues and ensure team adherence to quality, operational, and service management processes.
Education/Experience
- Undergraduate Degree preferred in Engineering or Computer Science
- 8+ years collective ‘hands -on’ experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Quality Assurance &Test Automation
Requirements:
- Excellent programming experience with Java, Selenium, python, Azure, SQL, Unix commands, scripting tools, Jenkins or similar
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and tools like, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- customize Production jobs for the test environment, Job schedulers, running reports, able to create feature files etc.
- Good understanding of BDD framework
- Ability to build consensus with business partners and mediate when appropriate.
- Good analytical, research, critical thinking, organizational and planning skills
- Detail oriented, strong communication skills, can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Readiness to challenge the status quo
- Mainframe knowledge is an asset
- ABINITO tool experience is an asset
