Job Description:

Run My Business (RMB) Journey – Manage My Deposits Product Group

The Run My Business (RMB) Journey's vision is to provide innovative Deposit products and services that enable Business Banking customers to efficiently run their business, supported by TD colleagues across the Bank that are equipped with the right knowledge and tools. We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of Deposit products, services and programs including features, benefits and characteristics that meet customer needs and are priced to meet the Bank's profit and loss objectives. Accountable for building value proposition the business wants to deliver and mapping the investments required to get there. Responsible for formulating strategy, policy, and overall direction of the Deposits suite of products.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Recognized as a strategic thinker with significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

  • Accountable for major functional areas with mass or niche products/segment suite and high levels of complexity and attributes

  • Senior specialist providing advisory services to executives, business segment leaders and governs the requirements for own work

  • Lead on product programs and projects on behalf of the business

  • Solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact; typically oversees standards, controls and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact within the context of their own field

  • Deliver financial results for the product / suite via effective operation of all available levers: pricing, margin, volume, etc.

  • Build and deliver business cases to achieve strategic business results

  • Liaise with partners (e.g., Treasury, Finance, Wealth, Retail) and lead and facilitate problem-solving sessions and provide thought leadership

  • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities

  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities

  • Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

  • Identify and manage risks (e.g. market, operational) associated with the product / segment

  • Develop / maintain productive working relationships with distribution channel owners

  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or product certificate and /or 7+ years relevant experience

  • Previous Product experience required

  • Experience in leading strategy strongly recommended

  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to conduct product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, competitive intelligence

  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends

  • Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of product initiatives

  • Ability to forecast and contribute to strategic direction of the product management function and provide advice to senior leadership

  • Ability to establish goals and objectives that support the strategic plan

  • Skill in mentoring, coaching and performance management

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions

  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines

  • Skill in preparing and managing budgets and P&L

  • Knowledge of and/or skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
