The Role
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for tracking and analyzing numerous projects to ensure revenues and expenses are accurate and aligned with expectations. Analysts will work closely with Corporate Finance Leadership, Division leaders, and Project Managers as a key source to bridge information between the groups. The analyst will prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses to understand and communicate the performance of assigned areas of work to relevant parties. The role includes detailed revenue and expense tracking and analysis, participation in the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasting, budget vs. actual variance analysis, and ad hoc research as directed.
Responsibilities
Review and Analyze assigned department’s monthly financial activity and communicate findings to internal department leadership
Cultivate relationships within the assigned departments to build a robust communication network
Maintain, Review, and/or Update departmental Revenue Trackers
Track financial metrics to spot trends and communicate performance to internal leadership
Provide Ad Hoc analysis as requested by either internal team leadership or departmental collaborators
Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and scenario planning
Participate in monthly financial close process lead by CAA Accounting
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities, including cross departmental purchasing synergies, and via Concur expense and vendor reporting, review, and analysis
Assist in companywide initiatives
Stay abreast of industry trends and client activity
Respond to Management questions which will likely require thorough research and analysis
Eventually: Assist in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan & Reforecast
Eventually: Assist in the preparation of assigned Monthly Financial Packages
Qualifications
BS or BA required with a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or other quantitative discipline preferred
A minimum of two years in FP&A, investment banking, or other positions with detailed financial modeling experience required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Advanced MS Excel
Sports or Entertainment industry experience a plus
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP a plus
Location
This role is hybrid, based out of the Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The base annual salary for this position is in the range of $105,000-$115,000. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria. Please talk with a CAA Recruiter to learn more.
