RESPONSIBILITIES
If you are an undergraduate Accounting student looking to jump start your career, we are offering a 13-month full time paid internship based at our Scoresby office . This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 27th January 2025 .
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
Are currently studying a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Accounting
Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2025
Has the necessary visa to work full-time for 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent team player with dedication and maturity to work autonomously
Inquisitive and has can-do attitude
Intermediate MS Excel skills
This is a 13-month, full time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Supporting
Providing support for month end closing including posting journals and preparation fixed Asset information
Provide assistance with accounting control (US GAAP/SOX)
Supporting external financial audit including data gathering and liaising with Auditors
Assist in preparation of Statutory Financial Statement
Supporting Head of departments to analyse expenses including preparation of journals.
Coordinating
- Coordinating Quarterly Reporting information such as PWC Questionaire, Management Representation Letter and Corporate Reporting information
Reporting
Responsibility for preparing monthly Inventories Turns reports.
Complete Australia Bureau of Statistic (“ABS”) survey as required.
Responsibility for preparing monthly reconciliations.
Prepare, report, and analyse finance expenses report for Head of Departments
Prepare other internal and external reporting as required.
Ad hoc
Provide ad-hoc support to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea Finance team.
Provide support reasonable support to Finance team member on selected projects.
Any other tasks as required.
