DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Project Assistant to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our DBU Upfit Centers (this role can be located at any of our major DBU Facilities including Ankeny, IA; Arlington, TX and De Pere, WI).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
This position will primarily focus on supporting the Bill of Material structure and integrity along with supporting activities at the Upfit Center and collaborating with Engineering Team.
Serves as a support resource on projects and work assignments; developing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
Provide administrative and logistics support to project team and Project Manager by assisting with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; providing administrative support for the design and development of project plans and timelines.
Assists in identifying, tracking, and working with others to resolve project issues while developing skills to do this independently. Assists with managing project risk; developing how to use quality tools to identify areas of risk.
Maintains project notes, databases, and other records while communicating updates to Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
Supply Chain experience and/or Project Coordinator experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and knowledge of SAP preferred, ability to learn new systems required to do the job effectively.
Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, take ownership and drive a project/task effectively and efficiently.
Must be comfortable working in a time-on task/production cell environment, working closely with Team Members to meet production goals and delivery targets.
Please note, this is a hybrid position (minimum 2 days onsite at DBU Upfit Center and maximum of 3 days working remote).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
