DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation of software and resolve licensing/access control issues.
Resolve helpdesk tickets and provide customer support with installations, training, and application support for assigned products.
Support major systems changes and implementations of new hardware and software.
Maintain a mid-level understanding and capability for support of Windows or UNIX operating systems interfaces.
Participate in cross-functional reviews; collect and tabulate metrics; gather data using Six Sigma tools; schedule tracking systems and other process improvement tools.
Take corrective actions based on problem reports and change requests to ensure high-quality software products.
Interface with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.
Assist with the coordination of engineering systems development including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
Participate in improvement projects.
Participate in self- and team-audits and associated corrective actions.
Perform other duties as required.

- Requires some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Engineering Software Application: Supports Engineering Software according to instruction or need to enable Engineering users' efficiency.
Engineering Software Certification: Certifies Engineering Software according to instruction or need to enable Engineering users' efficiency.
Engineering Software/Hardware Evaluation: Evaluates Engineering Software/Hardware according to engineering users' needs to provide CBSIT with guidance for selecting the Engineering tools needed.
Builds networks: Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.
Collaborates: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Communicates effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
Regionally applicable certification or two-year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Skills:
Technical Expertise: Proficient in the use of CGT Windchill, CREO (casting/sheet metal). Aware of AutoCAD software, can read part drawings and create assemblies, drawings in CREO. Aware of GD&T and have good product knowledge.
Stakeholder Interaction: Ability to interact with stakeholders, understand the scope of work, and deliver that work within the stated time.
ASME Standards: Understanding of ASME Standards for drawings and maintaining good drawing RFT.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Creo, AutoCAD, and Windchill.
Alternator Product Knowledge: Understanding of alternator products and their applications.
