Marine Application Technician

We are looking for a talented Marine Application Technician to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Marine Department in Saint-Herblain, France.
This role will require 75% of domestic travel frequency and potential international travel (0 to 10% of travel time).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
Technical Liaison: Act as the bridge between OEMs and customers, ensuring smooth communication and integration of Cummins' products into customer vehicles.
Product Development: Contribute to new product development programs by providing valuable customer insights and technical specifications.
Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve integration and installation issues, ensuring high-quality solutions and documenting results for continuous improvement.
Process Improvement: Support and enhance processes like Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration, using tools such as Advisor and Cummins OnLine Specifications.
Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships with customer technical counterparts, serving as their primary contact for technical information and support.
Quality Assurance: Validate prototype machine performance and ensure installations meet Cummins' standards, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes.
Team Contribution: Work effectively within teams, influencing and contributing to team goals while developing your technical and product knowledge.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
Associate Degree or BSC (Bachelor of Science) Degree of mechanical or electro-mechanical technical maintenance or engineering
Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Entry level/Early career professional. Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engine and generator operation and integration, along with the ability to conduct pre-reviews, installation reviews, and sea trials.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to perform diagnostics, both remotely and on-site, and resolve technical issues effectively.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Application Engineer and other team members, providing technical advice and participating in product and prototype development.
Organizational Skills: Manage installation reviews, testing schedules, and ensure proper maintenance and availability of testing equipment, while also contributing to monthly activity reports and planning.
