DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility in Mineral Point, WI

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Identify and Address Gaps : You'll determine gaps within corporate HSE initiatives and local policies, ensuring compliance and improvement.

  2. Promote HSE Culture : By building an understanding of HSE culture, you'll integrate it into daily processes, fostering a safer work environment.

  3. Ensure Confidentiality : Maintaining confidentiality and proper recordkeeping will protect sensitive information and comply with data protection standards.

  4. Immediate Hazard Reporting : You'll stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately, preventing potential incidents.

  5. Incident Reporting and Guidance : Acting as an HSE resource, you'll guide the site on reporting processes and support incident investigations and risk assessments.

  6. Support Corrective Actions : You'll assist in the implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions, enhancing overall safety.

  7. Effective Communication : By communicating effectively, you'll create HSE awareness and support environmental management activities.

  8. Participate in Inspections and Audits : Your active participation in HSE inspections, audits, and incident investigations will help identify trends and improve safety measures.

  14. Risk Assessment : Evaluate and prioritize risks, implementing control measures to reduce hazards to the lowest practicable level.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

2 year College, University or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, or Sustainability preferred.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

This role will give support to 2nd shift, working from 3pm-11pm

The person performing this role will be required to communicate any issues encountered effectively

Strong attention to detail and incident investigation experience preferred

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The

final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s

qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Min Salary $46720

Max Salary $70080
