DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented General Manager – Segment or Small Geography to join our team specializing in General Management for Cummins, Inc. in Fargo, ND.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Oversee Branch Operations : Manage branches through Branch Managers, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company standards.
Financial Oversight : Responsible for all financial metrics and functions for the group of branches, ensuring financial health and performance. Manages market analysis for span of responsibilities.
Annual Planning : Develop and manage the Annual Operating Plan, incorporating input from Business Development and Branch Managers, and monitor key business metrics.
Business Growth : Drive business growth by managing the annual marketing and sales plan, fostering customer relationships, and developing new business partnerships.
Customer Satisfaction : Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through programs like Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer, and cultivate a customer service-oriented culture.
Branch Operations Management : Oversee customer service operations within branches, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Warranty Management : Handle warranty submissions and rejections, analyze repetitive issues, and provide feedback for product and service improvements.
Employee Development : Manage, develop, and motivate employees, including setting and monitoring work plans and Individual Development Plans for Branch Managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial acumen - Develop a strong understanding of financial indicators relevant to your business.Regularly review financial reports and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Communicates effectively - Adapt your communication style to suit different audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding.Engage in active listening to understand the needs and concerns of your audience, fostering better relationships and collaboration.
Influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture - Champions positive health and safety behaviors by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment.
Service Capability, Capacity and Coverage - Engage with customers to understand their expectations and business priorities.Ensure that the right parts, tools, and qualified technicians are available to meet service standards.Regularly analyze service capability metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
College, university, or equivalent degree in required Business Administration, Engineering, or related subject required.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or Sponsor certification required.
Significant relevant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
College, university, or equivalent degree is recommended.
Six Sigma Green/Yellow Belt certification or Sponsor certification is recommended.
Relevant product experience is preferred.
This position with be responsible for both Fargo and Grand Forks branches in ND. The position will require frequent travel between both branches. Manager could possibly be located in Fargo or Grand Forks.
