DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Logistics Site Operations Manager to join our team in Logistics for our Mississippi - Starkville / Columbus - Gold Triangle Region – GTR location.
Provides operations leadership for small or medium size warehouse or Distribution Center, shift or department. Manages multiple shifts of warehouse operations including transportation and packaging. Provide safe working environment for all CMI & contract employees. Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met thru the Cummins Operating System (COS). Lead efforts within one or more logistics sub-functions. Ensures internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met while ensuring supply chain optimization

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and improvement focus for warehouse operations, including transportation and packaging, to drive results in safety, quality, production, and cost.
Service Provider Management: Manage service providers according to the negotiated Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure deliverables are met.
Effective Communication : Maintain clear and effective communication with customers, suppliers, shop floor staff, stakeholders, and team members.
Annual Planning and Forecasting: Lead the annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for Parts Distribution Center (PDC) operations.
Supply Chain Capability Development: Manage and develop supply chain capabilities, setting goals for training, development, performance, and career planning for employees.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
Problem Solving and KPI Management: Develop, understand, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational trends, and develop corrective action plans to address supply chain failures promptly.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
B.S in applicable field, MBA preferred
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant level of relevant work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Lead the implementation of the warehousing setup project and transition into Operations leader for the site.
Manage the Planning Resources
Inbound Material Coordinators
Order Managment and Invoicing
Bill of Materials - Change Management / ERP Setups / Etc.
Manage the 3PL relationship to ensure performances meets customer performance requirements
Manage all the necessary site compliance requirements
Champion continuous improvement activity at 3PL warehouse.
Lead all Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with 3PL and Customer.
The location of this position is Onsite at Mississippi - Starkville / Columbus - Gold Triangle Region
