DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Facilities Manager to join our team specializing in facilities management for our Fridley, MN sites.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Strategic Planning : Actively participate in site master planning activities and collaborate with plant management to identify short, medium and long-term facilities projects to be undertaken. Coordinate, prioritize, negotiate, and manage execution of all assigned multiyear projects.
Efficient Budget Management : Oversee significant budget responsibilities and ensure that expenses and capital expenditures are managed effectively, optimizing resource allocation and cost savings.
Project Oversight : Supervise contractors for renovation projects to ensure that all mechanical, structural, HVAC, electrical, and production floor arrangements meet corporate standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Vendor Management : Ensure that hard and soft services facilities vendors deliver promised services and materials to corporate standards will maintain high-quality operations and prevent delays or issues.
Team Leadership : Coach and motivate staff, to foster a productive and positive work environment, enhancing team performance and job satisfaction.
Skill Development : Provide guidance and direction on problems and issues, and delegate work assignments based on employee skills and development needs, will help in building a more skilled and versatile team.
Financial Control : Manage financial controls and risks to ensure that operations are executed within established budgets, maintaining financial health and stability.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and innovation within the facilities department.

Promote Environmental Stewardship : Develop and direct the site's environmental stewardship and sustainability programs. Implement recognized sustainability practices to minimize environmental impact and promote long-term sustainability.
Manage Facilities Design and Development : Plan and manage the design of facilities, considering the needs of owners and occupants. Oversee site construction activities to ensure compliance with building standards and successful project completion.
Oversee Facilities Maintenance : Assess the condition of the facility and manage operations and maintenance activities. Develop and operate asset management systems for preventative maintenance, using criticality analysis and predictive tools.
Ensure Smooth Facilities Operation : Manage occupant services, maintenance contracting, and operational planning requirements. This includes temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, and water treatment.
Leverage Facility Technology : Plan, direct, and manage facility management technologies. Evaluate and implement integrated workplace management systems and collaborate on technology needs analysis.
Handle Real Estate Management : Develop and implement the real estate master plan, manage transactions and assets, and evaluate real estate requirements. Acquire and dispose of real estate as needed.
Excel in Project Management : Establish and maintain the balance of scope, schedule, and resources for projects. Ensure that the results and impacts of projects are fully realized.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
Experience:
- Significant experience, including supervisory experience, required.

Significant relevant experience preferred, including prior experience working in facilities / engineering/ maintenance depts. in heavy manufacturing/ industrial sites of comparable scale and complexity
In scope for the role-
Hard Services Mgmt: facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, doors, paving, roof and façade, building fire protection & life safety
Soft Services Mgmt : janitorial, grounds & landscaping, backflow prevention & metering, lock and key management, pest control, mail room operation
Facilities Capital Maintenance Project Execution (like for like replacement of roofs, façade, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and site work due to age)
Space Planning - Utilization tracking, Space mgmt., people assignments, move management
Mailroom operations including printing & delivery of production critical shop packets
Plant equipment, machinery and test equipment is out of scope
