DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented On Site Service Technician to join our team specializing in Services, Maintenance and Diagnostics in Solwezi, Zambia.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
Providing Technical Expertise: Acting as a specialist to diagnose and complete less complex repairs on Cummins products at a single customer's site.
Engaging Customers Professionally: Ensuring courteous and efficient attention to customer needs, enhancing their overall experience.
Utilizing Specialized Tools: Applying the use of specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs accurately.
Coaching Customer Employees: Guiding customer employees on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs to improve their skills and knowledge.
Escalating Issues: Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians or Supervisors to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Completing Documentation: Accurately completing required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents.
Maintaining Work Area: Keeping the work area and tools clean and in proper operation to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Adhering to Safety Policies: Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and reporting any issues or incidents to site management and supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Valid Driver's License: Essential for mobility and accessing various job sites.
Valid EIZ Practicing Certificate: Required to legally practice and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Previous Experience Working on Generators: Critical for understanding the specific challenges and technical requirements of the job.
Valid Passport: Necessary for any international travel related to the job.
Electrical Diploma or equivalent is crucial for the technical aspects of the role, including diagnostics, electronic service tool application, engine systems interactions, and product repair and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
Certified Power Generation (Preferred)
Current relevant electrical certification.
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
Customer service experience
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
