Engine Field Service Technician - New Gold Mine

DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced and certified Heavy-duty mechanic to join our team on a mining site (New Gold mine-Rainy River mine) in northern Ontario.
This is a fly-in fly-out opportunity
Camp and travel are provided.
There is a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees
Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians and/or Supervisor
Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Heavy duty mechanics journeyman certification is mandatory for these positions.
Valid driver's license
Clean driver's abstract
Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Customer service experience
Safety focused
Open pit mining experience
Communication skills are a must
Able to work with little to no-supervision
About the role:
Position is based out Rainy river mine, camp based
Shift cycle is 14x14 rotation days and nights
12-hour shifts
Work will be predominantly supporting the truck fleet.
Position is safety sensitive.
Random alcohol and drug testing to be expected on work site.

• A copy of your red seal certification or trade’s diploma is required for this position.
• A copy of a 5 years driver’s abstract is required for this position.
• A valid local driver’s license is required for this position.
