DESCRIPTION
ON-SITE ROLE
The Production Associate – Level I is an entry-level position within Cummins manufacturing operations. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for operating machines and production equipment safely and effectively to meet productivity and quality requirements. The associate is expected to contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.
Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, and hazards.
Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Promote a safety-first culture by looking out for coworkers and correcting hazards within scope.
Understand and reduce the environmental impact of job tasks.
Actively participate in required HSE training.
Quality:
Follow all applicable standard work, documented procedures, and quality guidelines.
Conduct product quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
Raise concerns to help prevent defects, reduce rework, and minimize costs.
Delivery & Operations:
Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture or assemble products to specification.
Meet daily production goals and maintain expected cycle times or engineering standards.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including housekeeping and machine care.
Perform routine operator maintenance and support equipment troubleshooting.
Stay flexible in supporting additional production duties as required.
Teamwork & Development:
Communicate effectively with team members and supporting departments.
Complete all assigned training and development programs.
Engage in initiatives to improve quality, safety, workflow, and team performance.

Qualifications:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Production.
Experience:
Minimal or no prior work experience required.
Internal candidates must demonstrate safe and compliant operation of production equipment under direct supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
Diploma with 2+ years of experience in Assembly profile.
Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
Ability to follow written instructions and safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Effective team communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic production environment.
