DESCRIPTION
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and robotic systems to ensure optimal equipment availability and performance. This role involves working with advanced automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots, while adhering to Cummins’ safety, quality, and operational standards
Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
Immediately report any injury hazards or incidents.
Comply with all HSE standards, policies, and regulations.
Use appropriate PPE and promote a culture of safety and interdependence.
Participate in HSE training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality & Maintenance:
Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines and robotic systems.
Conduct preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
Support equipment uptime and failure analysis.
Follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications using appropriate tools and instruments.
Maintain documentation and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Operations & Delivery:
Execute electrical repairs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Schedule maintenance activities around production needs.
Participate in TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
Teamwork & Communication:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Participate in training and development programs.
Communicate issues and solutions clearly to peers and supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or local regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with breakdown and troubleshooting of CNC machines.
Strong knowledge of Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc CNC systems.
Proficient in Siemens PLC and HMI programming.
Familiar with SCADA systems, electrical logic, and VFDs.
Experience with machine backup, upload/download, and understanding of machine sequences.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with KUKA and ABB robots.
Robot programming experience is a plus.
Knowledge of electronic measuring systems and devices.
