DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Technician Apprentice to join our team specializing in Diesel Engines for our Distribution Business in Mobile. AL.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
During your apprenticeship, you are a full-time, paid employee who will complete a development program with the support of our coaching technicians and managers.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, Automotive & Diesel Technology*
U.S. Department of Labor Trade Certificates for Diesel Engines
No college debt – Cummins pays for your education/ Course credits that are transferable towards a bachelor’s degree
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Passionate about working with your hands
Ability to work with small hand tools while maintaining overall safety
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Education/Experience
Applicants must meet the minimum community college general education course requirement of 2.8 GPA High School (unweighted), or 22 ACT score, or GED with one year of college including Math and English with a minimum 2.8 GPA
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Escalation - Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources including data management tools; elevates issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database in order to ensure seamless transitions and accurate response to ticket resolution in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
A current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
