Datacenter Field Service Technician

We are looking for a talented Datacenter Field Service Technician to join our team specialising in Service for General Overhead & Operations in Dordrecht, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.
This is a field technician role that requires approximately 90% travel. The work involves on-site visits to client data centres to perform maintenance and repairs.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: You’ll engage with customers professionally and courteously, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Ensure Reliable Engine Generator Performance: By diagnosing and completing repairs on-site, you’ll help maintain the uptime and reliability of critical engine systems.
Maintain Safety and Compliance: Your attention to health, safety, and environmental standards will protect both people and equipment.
Support Preventative Maintenance: You’ll perform scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life, reducing customer costs.
Contribute to Team Collaboration: You’ll assist other datacenter and engine service teams, sharing knowledge and supporting broader operational goals.
Enhance Service Quality Through Documentation: Accurate and timely completion of service documentation ensures transparency, traceability, and continuous improvement.
Identify Additional Service Opportunities: Your technical insight will help uncover further maintenance needs, adding value to customer relationships.
Participate in On-Call Support: By being responsive during monthly on-call rotations, you’ll provide critical support when it’s needed most.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
A great sense punctuality in providing us the updated documents.
This will be filled in MOP’s time sheets that are submitted daily.
There are opportunities to assist other datacenter teams within the DBU when needed.
Occasionally, our technicians may also assist the engine service department.
Technicians will also stand in for 24-hour callouts, although these are infrequent.
We expect a good Dutch vocabulary. Additionally, proficiency in English is required as all our documents and reports are generated in English.
This role requires extensive travel within the Benelux area (Belgium, Netherlands) to perform on-site maintenance and repairs at various data centers. Technicians should expect to be on the road for extended periods and will be required to stay in hotels.
Occasionally, you may be asked to assist other datacenter teams in the rest of Europe, (CNE region) but this is a rare occurrence.

Strong Technical Knowledge: Understanding engine systems interactions and using diagnostic tools effectively is key to accurate repairs.
Proficiency in Documentation: You’ll need to capture and input service data precisely in English, ensuring records are complete and compliant.
Flexibility and Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel, stay overnight, and adapt to varying site conditions is essential for field-based work.
