DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Health & Safety and Environmental Tech (Level II – Shop) to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility in Mineral Point, WI, US.

Provides technical support on health, safety and environmental to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader. Assists in the review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Strengthen the site’s safety culture by promoting proactive hazard identification, stop-work authority, and open communication about risks — helping to prevent incidents before they occur.

Support continuous improvement by assisting in audits, inspections, and corrective/preventive action closure — ensuring that identified issues lead to lasting HSE performance gains.

Enhance compliance and consistency by maintaining and supporting HSE management systems, policies, and documentation in line with corporate and regulatory standards.

Drive data-informed decisions by gathering, analyzing, and reporting HSE metrics and trends — enabling leaders to target resources and improve safety outcomes effectively.

Empower employees and teams through effective communication, awareness sessions, and engagement initiatives that build a shared sense of accountability for health, safety, and environmental performance.

Contribute to environmental sustainability by participating in environmental management programs, waste reduction, and resource efficiency efforts that align with corporate sustainability goals.

Safeguard confidentiality and integrity of HSE records and sensitive information through proper documentation and data management practices.

Champion personal and professional development by continuously building your HSE knowledge, completing required training, and sharing insights that elevate team competence and confidence.

Technical HSE expertise – To excel, you’ll need to:

Champion health and safety fundamentals through visible leadership and participation in safety initiatives.

Apply effective incident investigation and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and strengthen systems.

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

College, University or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, or Sustainability preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

This role will provide support for the 1st shift, working from 5am-1pm

Incident investigation experience preferred
