DESCRIPTION
Cummins is looking for a diesel mechanic to join their team in Calgary as an In-shop diesel technician.
In this role you will have the following impacts :
Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and /or engine components
Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines
Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans engines in the workshop
Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
Complete training in line with skill and business requirements
Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Red seal certification (Heavy duty mechanics or Truck and transport) is mandatory.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
Troubleshooting experience
Natural gas engines experience would be an asset
Successful candidate must be able to travel to the USA on occasion
About the role :
You will be working on city buses, oil and gas equipment, farm equipment, OFF road equipment and ON road equipment
This position will require, on occasion, to assist technicians on the road.
Monday to Friday 8 hour days
