DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Awareness & Training Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Strengthen cybersecurity posture by building knowledge of Cummins policies and global data privacy principles.

  • Support risk identification efforts using Cummins frameworks to evaluate threats and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Apply industry standards like NIST, ISO, ITIL, and COBIT to align cybersecurity practices with Cummins-specific controls.

  • Assist in problem analysis to help identify and resolve technology-related security issues.

  • Escalate critical issues for deeper investigation, ensuring timely resolution and risk containment.

  • Promote cybersecurity awareness to help foster a culture of security across the organization.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and support secure implementation of new and evolving technology solutions.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in evaluations and updates of cybersecurity processes and controls.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Minimal relevant work experience required.

  • 0-3 years of experience

Location: On Site with Flexibility (Columbus or Indianapolis, IN preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Awareness Program Development: Develop, design, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity training programs tailored to various employee roles and organizational needs.

  • Training Delivery: Deliver cybersecurity training sessions through multiple channels (e.g., in-person, webinars, eLearning platforms) to ensure employees understand potential risks, threats, and the importance of cybersecurity practices.

  • Content Creation: Create and curate engaging, clear, and concise educational materials, including presentations, videos, newsletters, and quizzes, to promote cybersecurity awareness across Cummins.

  • Risk Communication: Regularly communicate emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to employees, ensuring that the information is understood and actionable.

  • Phishing Simulation & Response: Organize and manage phishing simulation campaigns to test employee awareness and response to phishing attempts and other social engineering threats. Analyze results and provide targeted training to address weaknesses.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of cybersecurity training programs by tracking completion rates, incident metrics, and behavioral trends. Provide regular updates to management on the status of cybersecurity training initiatives.

  • Collaboration with IT & Cybersecurity Teams: Work closely with IT, cybersecurity operations, and risk management teams to stay up-to-date on current security trends, vulnerabilities, and to ensure alignment of awareness and training programs with Cummins policies and procedures.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest trends in cybersecurity threats, awareness techniques, and training tools. Continuously update training materials to reflect new cyber risks and best practices.

  • Incident Response Support: Assist with educating employees during or after a security incident or breach to ensure proper response, reporting, and mitigation procedures are followed.

  • Vendor & Tool Management: Evaluate and manage cybersecurity awareness tools and platforms, including phishing simulation tools and learning management systems (LMS).

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or employee training, with a focus on cybersecurity awareness.

  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and managing training programs.

  • Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats, including phishing, social engineering, malware, and ransomware.

  • Experience with eLearning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or other training delivery methods.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiences. You will be regularly speaking to audiences of 100 or more people, both in person and virtually.

  • Experience using phishing simulation tools and other security awareness tools.

  • Certifications:

  • Certified Security Awareness Practitioner (CSAP) or SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) certifications are desirable.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience:

  • Experience working in large or complex organizations, or with diverse teams.

  • Experience in working on a global scale, understanding the social norms and language considerations in awareness and training materials.

  • Experience with behavioral change strategies or learning science.

  • Prior experience or knowledge of the KnowBe4 platform is desired.

  • Skills:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to perform targeted phishing exercises such as spear phishing, etc.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional travel may be required for in-person training or conferences.

Compensation:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
