We are looking for a talented Account Management General Sales Manage r to join our team in Mississauga, Canada.

The Account Management General Sales Manager directs an account team and key customer relationships through the sales and account support cycle. Executes sales and business development plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals within assigned customers. Strengthens existing customer relationships and builds additional relationships at higher levels within accounts. Direct/mentors relationship-building skills of the account team. Accountable for the execution of the sales strategy in support of key customers

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Develops and executes long-term, strategic relationships with complex, cross-regional key accounts aligned with Cummins’ sales strategy.

  • Integrates Cummins’ solutions into customer operations, identifying and addressing current and emerging business needs.

  • Leads cross-business unit account development, driving growth strategies and increasing Cummins’ share of customer business.

  • Conducts complex contract negotiations and manages accounts receivable, including payment terms and risk mitigation.

  • Champions the voice of the customer, using data-driven insights to improve loyalty and customer value initiatives.

  • Coaches and mentors’ sales teams, accelerating performance through the Cummins Sales Process and best practices.

  • Maintains accurate forecasting, reporting, and account planning using Cummins tools and systems.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align inventory, service, and delivery capabilities with customer expectations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • This role requires the successful candidate to be able obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance from the Government of Canada due to the nature of the interactions.

  • University or college degree in the field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.

  • An Engineering Technologist Degree or an Engineering Degree in either electrical engineering or mechanical engineering would be considered an asset.

  • A master’s degree in business or a master’s degree in engineering management would be considered an asset.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

  • The candidate must have Salesforce experience, must have some Legal knowledge as it pertains to the Ontario Construction Law and Commons Law Contract Laws.

  • The candidate must have strong business acumen.

  • This role is located in Mississauga, Province of Ontario.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Ontario’s Nuclear Generating Station (NGS) requirements (Bruce, Darlington, Pickering, Chalk River Laboratory).

  • Understands and applies CSA N299.3 and N299.4 quality assurance standards for nuclear power plant supply chains.

  • Possesses strong familiarity with Canadian Power Generation Market and CSA standards including CSA C282, Z32, B139, B149.1, and the Canadian Electrical Code.

  • Applies in-depth understanding of EPA Tier 4F, CSA B138, and regional regulations related to transportation, construction, and thaw period restrictions across Ontario, Quebec, and Canada.

  • Develops and executes account strategies by aligning customer needs with business capabilities and long-term objectives.

  • Leverages sales forecasting and pipeline management tools to drive accurate planning, execution, and performance tracking.

  • Synthesize complex internal and external data to support customer sense-making and deliver tailored, value-driven solutions.

  • Applies pricing strategy and channel awareness to align cross-functional stakeholders and optimize market positioning.

Leadership & Communication

  • Builds and leads high-performing, diverse teams that collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals.

  • Coaches and mentors sales professionals foster continuous development and performance improvement.

  • Communicates effectively across multiple modes and audiences, translating complex technical information into actionable insights.

  • Champions the Cummins Sales Process, ensuring consistent execution and coaching through all sales stages.

Customer-Centric Approach

  • Builds strong, trust-based relationships with key accounts, delivering customer-centric solutions that drive loyalty and growth.

  • Integrates customer perspectives into sales strategies and content to enhance relevance and impact.
