Product Systems Design Engineer on Site

DESCRIPTION
This is an on-site position based at our location in Craiova.
Order Fulfillment and Quotation Support
Execute mechanical design tasks for High KVA orders within defined timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production.
Evaluate customer specifications and propose feasible mechanical solutions.
Prepare general arrangement drawings and rotor layouts for technical offers.
Design Development
Create detailed mechanical designs for synchronous alternators, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and specifications.
Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
Select appropriate materials and components based on mechanical, thermal, and structural criteria.
Documentation & Standards Compliance
Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications).
Ensure all design outputs comply with internal standards and customer requirements.
Support design reviews by providing clear documentation and justifications for design choices.
Design Reuse & Reference Integration
Identify and apply reference designs or previous projects to optimize new solutions.
Contribute to the development of modular and standardized design approaches.
ERP & Process Integration
Support the integration of mechanical design data into the ERP system.
Ensure BOMs and part numbers are correctly structured and maintained in the system.
Design Validation
Perform mechanical calculations and simulations (e.g., stress, bearing life etc.)
Support testing and validation activities to confirm design performance.
Non-Conformity Analysis
Investigate mechanical non-conformities and propose corrective actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce design errors.
Team Support and Process Improvement
Collaborate closely with other engineers in the High KVA Mechanical Design Team.
Share knowledge and best practices to support team development and consistency.
Contribute to the creation and refinement of work procedures and design guidelines.
Suggest improvements to design workflows and tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong technical background with analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid foundation in engineering principles and design concepts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field
