DESCRIPTION

The Controller – Operations Finance Director is a senior finance leadership role responsible for providing strategic financial direction and operational support to the PSBU Operations in India, overseeing financial management across multiple manufacturing plants. This role partners closely with operations and supply chain leadership to drive business strategy, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. It ensures strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective decision-making to achieve profitability, growth, and performance objectives.

The position leads a team of senior finance professionals, fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and collaborates with global functional and supply chain teams to align regional initiatives with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Operations Leadership Team, providing strategic financial insight and partnering on key business decisions, growth initiatives, and performance improvement opportunities.

  • Lead the development and execution of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long-range forecasts, and financial reporting processes to ensure achievement of cost, margin, and working capital targets.

  • Direct application of consistent and compliant accounting practices across all entities; recommend and implement changes to improve accuracy and governance.

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring clear communication of financial results and drivers to stakeholders.

  • Partner with business and supply chain leaders to identify and execute cost reduction, outsourcing/insourcing, and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Drive capital management processes, including evaluation and prioritization of CapEx investments and resource allocation to support business strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and financial regulations, including regional and global requirements.

  • Collaborate with global supply chain teams to optimize centrally managed costs such as freight, warehousing, and trade compliance.

  • Develop, mentor, and lead finance professionals, fostering capability development and talent growth within the function.

  • Support transformation and digital initiatives that enhance financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is mandatory.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with significant exposure to manufacturing or large-scale operations environments.

  • Proven experience in financial strategy, business partnering, and leadership roles within global or regional organizations.

  • Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, cost management, and working capital improvement.

  • Prior experience managing multi-plant or multi-entity operations preferred.
