DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing in Rocky Mount, NC.

Lead projects that align manufacturing processes with safety, product, and business goals
Apply advanced manufacturing principles to improve equipment efficiency and reliability
Drive continuous improvement using proven tools and Cummins standards
Develop and implement manufacturing standards and best practices across teams
Influence key stakeholders through clear communication and strategic guidance
Collaborate with internal and external resources to execute high-impact initiatives
Coach and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster alignment and growth
Champion technical excellence and innovation in manufacturing practices at Cummins
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
Communicate clearly and adapt messaging to different audiences
Champion health and safety practices to foster a safe work environment
Interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings to support process design
Select appropriate equipment that meets manufacturing and project needs
Use digital tools to simulate and optimize manufacturing processes
Apply manufacturing knowledge to implement process and equipment changes
Document processes clearly to ensure consistency and standardization
Design tools and fixtures that meet functional and manufacturing requirements
Value diverse perspectives to enhance innovation and team performance
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality
Apply ergonomic principles to design safe and efficient workstations
Solve problems using structured, data-driven methodologies
Design operator workstations that balance safety, cost, quality, and efficiency
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
