We are looking for a talented CAL Process Manager 2nd Shift to join our team specializing in manufacturing for our Cummins’ business in Ladson, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Drive daily production performance by organizing team activities, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring consistent achievement of production targets.
Elevate safety culture by identifying risks, reinforcing safe work practices, and partnering cross‑functionally to implement sustainable safety improvements.
Enhance operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving workflow, and optimizing equipment utilization.
Strengthen product quality by monitoring process standards, resolving issues quickly, and collaborating with quality partners to prevent recurring defects.
Lead project and work assignments as the group’s primary point of coordination, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and communication remain on track.
Build a high‑performing team by providing clear expectations, consistent feedback, and structured coaching to support individual growth and accountability.
Improve team engagement and performance by fostering a positive, inclusive environment that encourages collaboration, problem‑solving, and ownership.
Support long‑term operational success by developing team capabilities, mentoring emerging talent, and preparing employees for expanded responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Lead a high‑performing, inclusive team: Build strong-identity teams, direct work with clear expectations and smart delegation, develop talent through coaching and feedback, and drive engagement by recognizing contributions and creating ownership—while valuing differences to unlock diverse perspectives.
Collaborate and communicate with clarity: Partner cross‑functionally to meet shared objectives; tailor communications to operators, peers, and leaders with concise, audience‑specific updates, shift handoffs, and visual controls that keep priorities, risks, and actions crystal clear.
Decide and deliver under pressure: Make timely, data‑driven decisions that balance safety, quality, cost, and schedule; resolve conflicts constructively; remove obstacles proactively; and consistently drive results by translating goals into executable plans and holding the team accountable.
Champion safety and continuous improvement: Model proactive Health & Safety fundamentals; lead evidence‑based incident investigations with true root‑cause analysis and effective corrective actions; and apply continuous process improvement to reduce waste, stabilize processes, and improve quality and throughput.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Additional Details:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse or parts distribution environment
Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for picking, receiving, inventory, or shipping
Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire
Ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced warehouse environment with shifting daily priorities
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and productivity
Prior experience in a parts warehouse or inventory-driven operation
Forklift certification (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, etc.)
Compensation
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
