DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Pricing Analyst – Senior to join our team specializing in Marketing for Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure pricing accuracy and data integrity by maintaining clean, reliable information across order management and rebate systems, strengthening overall pricing operations.

  • Drive informed decision-making by analyzing win/loss and quote data trends to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and competitive positioning.

  • Influence product and market success by recommending strategic pricing actions, implementing adjustments, and supporting effective price execution for new products and segments.

  • Lead and contribute to pricing improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, profitability, and process consistency across the organization.

  • Deliver actionable insights by creating clear reports and presenting pricing conclusions to leaders in a way that supports strategy and operational alignment.

  • Strengthen customer relationships through timely, accurate support on complex pricing issues, ensuring transparency and high service quality.

  • Advance continuous improvement by identifying gaps, recommending solutions, and helping implement new processes and programs that elevate pricing capabilities.

  • Build team capability by coaching and mentoring junior Pricing Analysts, fostering skill development and a strong pricing discipline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Build strong stakeholder networks across Sales, Finance, Product, and Operations (and external contacts where relevant) to speed alignment, unblock decisions, and ensure pricing actions land effectively.

  • Strengthen market forecasting capability by consistently using high-quality internal/external data and sound modeling to produce unbiased, segment-specific projections that leaders can trust.

  • Develop and execute pricing strategy through alignment —facilitate cross-functional consensus so pricing decisions support business targets (margin, growth, competitiveness) and are implemented cleanly.

  • Translate market and customer insights into action by capturing customer voice with the right research tools, synthesizing findings into clear opportunities, and shaping solutions that improve customer value and performance outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Accounting or a related subject required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must have operational experience in Cummins’ Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) tool for PowerGen business

  • Supports pricing management system implementation activities

  • Manages PowerGen pricing systems globally

  • Mandatory requirement to have working experience with Pricefx (Cummins specific application)
