We are looking for a talented New Power Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Lombardia, Italy .

This role is mainly based at the customer depot, in Rovato (BS), 1 hour from our headquarters in Peschiera Borromeo.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring timely and effective technical support for Cummins Accelera fuel cell and hydrogen systems in railway applications.

  • Diagnose and perform basic repairs on fuel cell systems and related components using specialized tools, documented procedures, and approved Cummins policies.

  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenan

  • ce activities on fuel cells, hydrogen systems, and rail-mounted equipment in accordance with established standards and service plans.

  • Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to senior Field Service Technicians or Supervisors, providing accurate diagnostics and supporting information.

  • Complete all required service documentation, including service reports, timesheets, and warranty claims, using handwritten forms or Cummins business systems.

  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe, clean, and fully operational condition while ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and completing required technical training.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).

  • Locally valid driving permit.

  • Minimal level of workshop related experience required.

  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong electromechanical skills with flexibility to work outside standard hours when required, including field and rail-site interventions.

  • Demonstrated passion and curiosity for the zero-emission transition, particularly in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

  • Effective communicator, able to adapt communication style to different audiences and deliver clear, customer-focused technical information.

  • Customer-oriented and accountable professional, building strong relationships while taking ownership of commitments and service outcomes.
