In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations:

  • Manage contractors : You'll oversee that contractors meet safety and compliance standards, conducting inductions, reviewing SWMS, and checking equipment. Your attention to detail will help keep everyone working safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate tools: You’ll ensure workshop tools are calibrated correctly, guaranteeing safe and precise jobs every time.

  • Keep the facility running smoothly : You'll coordinate maintenance activities to reduce downtime and support daily operations.

As the successful candidate would be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance, with a focus on detail and adherence to established processes.

  • A solid foundation in hands-on trade skills, such as forklift operation, working at heights, or a background in a specific trade

  • The ability to work as part of a team and/or autonomously as required

  • High level of computer literacy including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Ability to effectively manage time to ensure all tasks are completed by the required deadline.

About the role

This role is a great next step for someone who understands how work gets done on the floor and wants to broaden their skills into coordination, compliance, and facilities support.

You’ll play a hands‑on role in keeping our site safe, compliant, and running smoothly — working closely with technicians, contractors, and leaders. The role combines practical on‑site coordination with structured administration and contractor oversight.

What you’ll be doing

Contractor coordination & supervision

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day contractor activities across the site

  • Manage contractor paperwork including SWMS / SWPs, permits, inductions, and compliance checks

  • Ensure contractors are working safely, following site requirements, and using compliant equipment

  • Provide on‑site supervision and act as the point of contact during works

Workshop & tool compliance

  • Maintain tool calibration records and coordinate calibrations to ensure tools are safe, accurate, and compliant

  • Support workshop housekeeping and compliance requirements

Facilities & maintenance coordination

  • Coordinate routine and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime

  • Arrange contractors for general site works (e.g. minor repairs, grounds, gutters, working at heights tasks)

  • Follow up work completion and close out documentation

Administration & systems

  • Maintain accurate records using Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Track maintenance, contractor, and compliance activities

  • Support audits and internal checks with well‑organised documentatio

About you

This role will suit you if you:

  • Are a technician, trade assistant, or tradesperson looking to step into a coordination / support role or

  • Have an administration background with strong technical aptitude and confidence working in operational environments

You’ll also bring:

  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance , with attention to detail

  • Practical, hands‑on experience in industrial, workshop, or site‑based environments

  • Confidence dealing with contractors and asking the right questions

  • The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and follow things through

  • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Forklift licence

  • Working at Heights or similar site tickets

  • Previous experience reviewing SWMS / permits or coordinating contractors

  • Trade background or exposure to maintenance / workshop environments
