We are looking for a talented District Manager to join our team specializing in Sales for our location in Salt Lake City, UT

Channel Awareness: Apply strong knowledge of industry structure and channel dynamics to optimize go to market approaches and support organizational growth across diverse pathways.
Pricing Strategy & Negotiation Excellence: Align cross functional stakeholders to develop effective pricing strategies and lead negotiations that achieve business targets while maintaining strong customer partnerships.
Account Strategy & Pipeline Management: Develop clear, actionable account strategies, monitor pipeline health, and adjust plans proactively to ensure consistent progress toward revenue and relationship goals.
Sense Making & Customer Perspective: Synthesize complex data, customer insights, and market signals to shape tailored solutions, improve sales content, and ensure decisions reflect the true voice of the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Deep Customer & Territory Understanding: Build strong knowledge of the customer base—especially the 40% located in Utah—to identify prospects, understand buying behaviors, and tailor solutions that drive sales and long-term relationships.
Mechanical Aptitude & Product Insight: Apply mechanical understanding and product appreciation to clearly articulate Cummins’ value proposition, help customers evaluate solutions, and differentiate offerings without needing contract or pricing responsibilities.
Sales Process Mastery & CRM Discipline: Consistently use the Cummins Sales Process, maintain accurate CRM activity and forecasting, execute account plans, and conduct effective face-to-face calls to generate opportunities, meet targets, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Cross Functional Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Partner with internal teams to manage inventory and delivery expectations, support receivables and delinquent payment resolution, and escalate emerging customer needs—while mentoring less experienced account executives and leveraging the Motus mileage program for efficient territory coverage.

Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
No contract or pricing responsibilities
40% of customers are in Utah. This role will require you to be in Utah approximately 80% of the time, with frequent in‑person customer interaction.
4 state territory / Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado. Will require overnight stays
Mechanical aptitude / appreciation will be key in this position
Customer base knowledge is a highly preferred
Will be eligible for Motus mileage program
