We are looking for a talented Payroll Analyst to join our Human Resources team at Cummins in Sweden. This position offers a flexible work model — 60% office / 40% remote - in one of our offices in Lindesberg or Arlandastad, or fully remote from anywhere in Sweden.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Administer and process payroll operations in accordance with internal procedures, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, taxes, and statutory deductions.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll-related legislation and internal controls, including tax, social security, pensions, insurance, and other statutory requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison with government agencies and respond to internal and external payroll-related inquiries, acting as a subject matter resource.
  • Prepare and review payroll reconciliations and records to support general ledger postings, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Support payroll reporting and statutory filings, including payroll tax returns, withholding forms, and completion of year-end processes such as adjustments and tax statements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including cross-functional projects, maintaining payroll documentation, workflows, and procedure manuals to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Administers and participates in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups including the preparation, processing and balancing of payroll. Ensures all information received from data interfaces and manual data sources is uploaded to the system without error. Utilizes internal or external payroll technologies for payroll processing activities.

Education/ Experience:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimal level of relevant work experience required.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong knowledge of Swedish payroll operations and statutory legislation, with understanding of tax, social security, and employment-related compliance requirements.
  • Experience using payroll and HR systems, preferably SAP, with exposure to Nordic payroll processes considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and customer service skills, including advanced Excel capabilities, problem-solving ability for complex issues, and capacity to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.
