The RPA Business Analyst – Finance applies developing business process, automation, and project management skills within the Finance function to support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives. This role partners with global Finance teams, GCC/shared services, IT, and RPA development teams to identify, analyze, document, test, and sustain automation solutions. The role manages well-defined portions of automation projects, supports governance and compliance requirements, and ensures delivered solutions meet business value, control, and audit expectations.
Key Responsibilities 1. RPA Discovery & Business Analysis (Finance Focus)- Lead discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with Finance stakeholders across AP, AR, GL, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, FP&A, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
- Identify and evaluate automation opportunities, including feasibility, expected benefits, risks, and internal control requirements.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements for RPA initiatives.
- Support effort estimation, prioritization, and development of automation business cases.
- Act as the functional process owner from idea intake through deployment and stabilization.
- Collaborate with global Finance teams and GCC stakeholders to ensure harmonized requirements and aligned processes across regions.
- Own and deliver end-to-end RPA documentation, including:
- AS-IS and TO-BE process maps
- Process Definition Documents (PDDs)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including business rules and exception handling
- Data requirements, validation rules, and system interactions (ERP, Finance systems, portals)
- Control points, audit checks, and compliance considerations
- Test scenarios, UAT support, and business sign-offs
- Runbooks and handover documentation
- Ensure all documentation meets Cummins finance controls, internal audit standards, SOX, IFRS, GAAP, and applicable GCC governance frameworks.
- Translate Finance business requirements into clear, actionable inputs for RPA developers.
- Partner closely with RPA development teams, IT, Security, Compliance, and Finance SMEs.
- Conduct solution walkthroughs, design reviews, and approval sessions.
- Manage scope, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests to ensure solutions deliver expected business value.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and outcomes to Finance GCC teams, business units, and leadership.
- Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and resolution.
- Validate automation outputs for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Finance business rules.
- Contribute to deployment readiness activities, cutover planning, and hypercare support.
- Act as the functional owner for post go-live queries, enhancements, and stabilization activities within GCC operations.
- Monitor bot performance, exceptions, and trends from a business perspective.
- Support incident root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with data privacy, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Maintain traceability of requirements, change logs, documentation, and version control.
- Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and evidence.
- Partner with global shared services and GCC operations to sustain the automation lifecycle and governance model.
- Serve as a project resource supporting well-defined automation initiatives.
- Track and resolve project issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and communicate project status, risks, and timelines to project managers and stakeholders.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, risk management, and documentation.
- Maintain project notes, records, and repositories; document and share learnings across teams.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience as an RPA Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or Project Coordinator within Finance GCC, Shared Services, or Global Finance Operations.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance workflows.
- Working knowledge of RPA tools (UiPath preferred; Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate acceptable).
- Understanding of UiPath concepts including Studio basics, Orchestrator, queues, triggers, and monitoring.
- Experience with process mapping and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io).
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills in a global environment.
- Proficiency in English.
