DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Current Enrollment : You must be a current student in high school or in a college/university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Coursework : Some basic courses in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, materials science, machine design and manufacturing processes preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an hourly summer School to work for an MET (Mechanical Engineering Technology) student to work as a Test Cell Technician at Cummins Tech Center (CTC) in Columbus Indiana.

100% onsite at CTC.

Start Date May of 2026

This role will report to Garrett Mocas and he would like to interview all candidates.

Work Daily in test cell environment using hands on tools, skills and Techniques to perform test on engines.

Learn Basics of test cell operation and controls (Mechanical and software)

Participate in Team Meetings, events and other cross functional efforts

Follow HSE Processes and Procedures to ensure safety of themselves and others

Manage small portions of well defined projects

Identifies, tracks and works with others to resolve issues

Draws on other experiences to enhance the success of the project

May work on special improvement projects as needed

100% On-Site Yes

Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
