Serves as first point of contact with customer to promote quality customer service and assist with increasing business within the branch location

We are looking for a talented Service Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for customers and support daily operations in Sioux Falls, SD.

This role will make an impact in the following ways:

• Serve as the first point of contact with customers by phone and at the branch, building positive relationships and delivering quality customer service.

• Assess customer needs, gather accurate information, and create work orders in the appropriate business systems.

• Provide timely status updates and maintain clear, professional communication throughout the service process.

• Support service operations by documenting customer concerns and maintaining detailed service records for tracking and payment purposes.

• Translate customer complaints into actionable information to support troubleshooting using guided workflows and service tools.

• Utilize electronic service tools and systems to assist with diagnostics and service event coordination.

• Escalate technical issues as needed to ensure timely and accurate resolution.

• Assist with warranty claim processing by verifying root cause, determining eligibility, and submitting proper documentation.

• Apply financial awareness when supporting service estimates, invoicing, and business decisions.

• Contribute to branch growth by ensuring a positive customer experience and identifying service opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Strong customer service experience in a service or administrative environment.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams.

• Basic financial understanding related to service estimates and invoicing.

• Ability to coordinate work, prioritize tasks, and support service workflow.

• Strong documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail.

• Ability to handle conflict and difficult customer situations professionally.

• Familiarity with diagnostic processes and electronic service tools preferred.

• Experience with warranty processes and service management systems preferred.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Cummins BMS experience.

Cummins Warranty experience.

Scheduling repair work.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Compensation and Benefits Base

Salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Min Salary $23.46

Max Salary $35.19
