Market Intelligence Analyst

Cummins is looking for a Market intelligence analyst to join its team in Pointe-Claire, Québec.
This is a remote position opened to candidates from the greater Montreal area in order to be able to meet with the team once a month.
In this role, you will have the following impacts :
- Supports the development of an unbiased, regular market understanding through the generation of data and insights.
- Contributes to the production of reports and projects that further the understanding of the market.
- Provides market research, data collection and analysis in support of intelligence initiatives.
- Facilitates market and segment-specific information gathering and sharing through appropriate channels.
- Collaborates with business teams in the development of the market intelligence required to support business decisions.
- Actively pursues deeper knowledge of the market through internal and external sources.

- Derive Market Insights - Researches and collects market and competitor's product data, trends, and positioning using a variety of primary and secondary sources; analyzes the information to develop strategic responses, propose projects and solutions, and appropriately allocate resources in order to maximize business value.
- Intuitive Listening And Adapting Solutions - Translates needs, expectations, or asks from customers, stakeholders, etc. into actionable solutions through active listening and intuition; chooses or produces solutions (e.g. process change, tool, product, service, etc.) to meet or exceed the customers’ or stakeholders’ needs or expectations or to provide value.
- Market Analysis - Researches information using meaningful and valid sources and data to expand your knowledge of markets; analyzes findings by connecting dots and identifying trends to create a coherent image of the market; summarizes relevant insights by condensing, prioritizing, and translating how these impact our business.
- Market Forecasting - Analyzes and interprets market data from a variety of internal and external sources and modeling to formulate unbiased market projections specific to business segment.
- Market Positioning - Compiles market overview and trends to build frameworks which provide market insights to the decision making process.
- Translating Relevant Market Data - Collects and categorizes customer voices and market information by leveraging appropriate research tools and techniques; analyzes research findings to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- University degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related subject required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- 1-2 years in strategy, business, marketing, market research.
- B2B marketing experience is an asset.
- Industrial business experience desired
The successful candidate must be:
- Comfortable working with large datasets and committed to data integrity.
- Able to ensure data quality at every stage of research projects.
- Able to track and analyze data, build reports, and generate actionable insights to provide leadership guidance.
- Able to thrive continuous improvement of data collection practices.
- Familiar with document research processes and maintain data governance standards.
- Familiar with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms would be considered an asset.
- Must be fluent in both English and French.
Remote position with flexible hours Monday-Friday. Will need to be available to meet with the team on a monthly basis in the greater Montreal area.
