DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Performs routine and repetitive tests, set-ups, and calibrations in support of Instrumentation and Product Validation Engineering activities. This role combines hands-on hardware validation with strong software, automation, and data analysis exposure to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely test results that support engineering and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and repetitive tests, set-ups, and calibrations in accordance with approved test procedures and work instructions.
Install terminals, fabricate and assemble electronic systems, test cells, harnesses, test rigs, and fixtures.
Complete minor mechanical system assembly and support test article builds per functional test requirements.
Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation including gauges, transducers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, smoke meters, fuel measurement systems, and oil consumption test rigs.
Operate and support data acquisition systems for test monitoring and recording.
Utilize LabVIEW for test bench control, automation, data acquisition, and parameter monitoring.
Use Calterm for ECU parameter monitoring, data logging, and calibration-related analysis.
Apply MATLAB for data analysis, visualization, and trend evaluation.
Support vehicle-side diagnostics and system interaction using INSITE and related application tools.
Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and execute written test plans; document and report test results in specified formats.
Interface with engineers, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to communicate findings and resolve issues.
Participate in quality procedure maintenance, improvement projects, audits, and corrective action processes.
Champion health and safety practices and ensure compliance with local safety and environmental requirements.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to support lab and test equipment reliability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field required.
Regionally applicable certification or a two-year Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant technical field may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience
Technical Knowledge & Tools
Experience with hardware validation and test bench environments.
Proficiency in:
LabVIEW – test automation, control systems, and data acquisition
Calterm – ECU monitoring, logging, and calibration analysis
MATLAB – data processing, visualization, and statistical analysis
INSITE – vehicle diagnostics and system behavior understanding
Working knowledge of NI systems, TestStand, and CSAR is advantageous.
Ability to operate general electrical and electronic tools including digital multimeters, soldering irons, function generators, and frequency generators.
Strong understanding of instrumentation setup, data acquisition principles, and measurement accuracy.
Experience
Requires some work experience and intermediate-level technical knowledge obtained through education, training, or hands-on experience in a test lab, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
Experience supporting validation, calibration, or instrumentation activities in automotive or regulated industries is preferred.
