What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Software Engineer (Splunk), you will create solutions, understanding the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment to design technical system answers.

You will:

• Be a member of a Splunk engineering team that is on the leading edge of innovation related to the tool

• Guide customers on how to ingest, store, process, understand and explore/visualize data on the within Splunk. You will work on data migrations and transformational projects, and with customers to design large-scale data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform challenges

• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments

• Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems

• Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degrees

• Relevant experience with Linux administration combined with knowledge of Linux infrastructure

• Splunk administration experience and exposure to data stream processing capabilities within Splunk

• Understand licensing consumption and overall Splunk platform efficiency.

• Experience with Development Tools for CI/CD, Unit and Integration testing, Automation and Orchestration, REST API

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with the implementation of data stream processing capabilities within Splunk

• Define high-level data and analytics strategies, including technology components such as AI/ML, MDM, and Big Data (among others)
