Product Management Consultant

What you’ll achieve
As a Product Management Consultant in IT, you will apply broad knowledge of the company’s products and services to identify new areas of growth, new technology and emerging product opportunities. You will evaluate in-depth market analysis and drive the business case for optimization of existing products and creation of next generation products.

You will:

  • Envision, design and document new solutions/processes that are future ready, including recommendations on how to feasibly monitor adherence to (especially through automation) and success of new data mesh processes
  • Responsible for recommending options for data consumers to self-serve data products, including virtualization options
  • Socialize executive level communications about the business benefits and strategic direction of the data mesh core principles process changes
  • Identify risks and dependencies across multiple processes, products, teams/organizations and thought leadership in proposing mitigations, prioritization and driving strategic alignment
  • Build a roadmap of the recommended sequence of process shifts to continue to derive value and properly govern a successful data mesh

Essential Requirements

  • 10 - 12 years of relevant IT experience in Data-Warehousing technologies with excellent communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of Big Data technologies with at least 5 years of technical hands-on data engineering experience
  • Strong experience in gathering details from stakeholders in order to document current process flows, identify gaps, and recommend a shift in centralized vs federated roles, responsibilities, and services for data ownership in a successful data mesh
  • Experience in enablement of self-service functions for data producers – ability to recommend guidelines for cataloging, classifying and self-publishing data products
  • Ability to influence and navigate business teams aligning towards North Star priorities, processes, and new technology

Desirable Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree or related experience
