What you’ll achieve
As a GPU Principal Systems Development Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyses of existing systems. You will work on design and integration of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) into Dell Enterprise Servers, AI Platforms, and Systems.
You will:
Participate as a member of the Project Delivery Team to deliver complete GPU solutions to the Dell AI portfolio
Deliver assigned system interfaces with design and process across extended teams
Prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures
Design, develop and implement cost effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment and complete specifications and procedures for new products
Help enable GPU and AI validation and debug at Taiwan-based ODM partners and work globally with our USA-based development team and technology partners

Essential Requirements
8 to 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years with a master’s degree
Significant experience developing systems using Linux and the ability to test and debug in those environments. Experience in managing vendors or technology partners, including but not limited to companies like NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, and Taiwan-based technology ODMs
Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues and make design decisions
Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation, also knowledge of remote systems management (e.g., Dell iDRAC or OpenBMC)
Proficiency in virtualized environments such as ESXi or VDI and configuration of devices in those environments such as vGPU
Desirable Requirements
Ability to self-direct and self-motivate to achieve timely outcomes and support a global team
Experience with hardware components like GPUs, Networking Cards, or Storage Controllers, and using bus protocol analyzers (I2C, PCIe)
