Work you’ll do

As a Project Delivery Lead in our Cyber Application Security team, you will be part of our Managed Services – Technology Delivery practice and will work with project teams in US or other Deloitte member firm in providing e-discovery services to assist large scale litigations, FCPA and other fraud investigations. They will work on eDiscovery project(s) involving electronic data processing, data quality control, electronic document hosting and analysis using proprietary, cutting edge forensic utilities and should display good understanding of eDiscovery project life cycle.

Role Description

  • Strong understanding of overall eDiscovery and computer forensic project life cycle and plays an important role of technical proficient problem solver for all stages of project.
  • Lead ediscovery projects involving:
    • Electronic data processing
    • Data quality control
    • Electronic document hosting.
  • Expertise on all computer Forensics, Processing & Hosting, Imaging and Production tasks.
  • Devise processes and solutions for unique/custom requests.
  • Responsible for US shift handoff coming from EDSC, leading the team & communicating with US counter parts and Project Managers.
  • Manage the E-file processing engagements as required and maintains appropriate correspondence with the other US counterparts and reporting mangers ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Identify process improvement areas in the practice and develop checklist/ standard operating procedures as and when required.
  • Prioritize tasks when working on multiple projects and also guides Associates technically on areas of the process/communications.
  • Update the basis manager regularly the status of handoff tasks and any deadline impending issues.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce manual work.
  • Flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service projects.
  • Monitoring SLA for the WRs and intimate project management and leadership if deadlines are in jeopardy.
  • Logging the quality issues on time.
  • Providing feedback to the person who has committed the error.
  • Identify process gaps, update Run Book procedures and educate the team on the changes.
  • Assist Managers in coming up with strategies for non-standard activities.
  • Monitor multiple work request queues and staff allocation.
  • Develops, monitors and controls project plans; schedules the activities of a team of professionals; reviews work products and deliverables, and assists in the quality review of deliverables produced by juniors.
  • Conducts regular project review meetings with internal Deloitte teams and puts the plan into operation.
  • Load, create, and maintain ESI discovery review hosted databases.
  • Support PMs by assisting with document searching and tagging in hosted database.
  • Escalate issues as necessary and ensure that calls are handled effectively by working with Engineering Team as required.
  • Coordinate with EDSC Engineering/Operations to keep appraised of any infrastructure issues or changes.
  • Practice and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive technical analyses and interpretations of computer-related evidence such as e-mail, accounting software, various databases, and information stored on electronic devices.
  • Maintain detailed written work logs and case documentation following forensic procedures.
  • Report and log progress via internal tracking system.
  • Run data exports/imports/media delivery.
  • Analyze reports and conduct analysis to ensure Productions quality.
  • Troubleshoot Production deliverables as needed.
  • Work on all of the below mentioned phases in a eDiscovery project life cycle:
    • Processing: Extract metadata and prepare data for final export by performing concept searching, filtering and other analytics using enterprise class systems which use distributed architecture.
    • Hosting: Online hosting of processed data where in the metadata, corresponding files are linked and prepare the platform for performing advanced searching/tagging of documents hosted.
    • Imaging: Conversion of native edocs to read-only tiff or PDF formats with the necessary opticon files.
    • Productions: Branding & Stamping of the eDoc images.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 7 years of work experience (Computer Science background).
  • Advanced levels of experience with several ESI data processing platforms
  • Expert in multiple processing (Ipro e-capture, NUIX), OCR (Abby, Ipro tech) and Hosting (Reveal, Ringtail & Relativity) technologies/tools.
  • Expert in textual analytics tools like Brainspace, TAR.
  • Expert in Native Excel Redaction tools like Exolution, Blackout
  • Proficient in the use of forensic tools such as Encase, FTK, decryption center and other forensic procedures.
  • Strong understanding of data collection & preservation principles.
  • Advanced knowledge with: SQL, SQL+, Visual Basic/VBSCRIPT, SAS, MS-Access, C++/.Net/ Perl/Python/Java, ASP, DOS, Windows, UNIX, and Linux).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience in working with networked systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – specifically advanced Excel knowledge & Text Editor Regular expressions.
  • Proficiency in Service Desk application, scheduling application, and web hosting applications.
  • Produce quality deliverables as defined in the project specifications on Project Intake form.
  • Responsible for US shift handoff & communicating with US counter parts and Project Managers.
  • Complex metadata import & Export using Relativity Desktop Client.
  • Commitment to innovation - Always looking to develop and refine processes and deploy new technologies which deliver added value to the company and our clients.
  • Converts client requirements into operational work requests, monitor progress, and proactively updates client and project team stakeholders on deadlines.
  • Ensures client and project requirements are being met with the highest quality and accuracy through verifying and communicating routinely with both the client and internal teams.
  • Consistently delivers proactive communication with clients, and when client issues arise escalates to the project lead or their manager.
  • Troubleshooting and investigating problematic data in consultation with team leads.
  • Ensures that an up to date record is maintained about the status of all projects being worked on, and that all project- or client-specific workflow is documented.
  • Ensures continuity of client service between shifts by providing clear handoffs and client updates
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Ability to write scripts and execute prewritten SQL scripts based on the requirements.
  • Ability to quickly learn customized proprietary software.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix, and RSA with the ability to troubleshoot. Experience using WebEx Remote training software or similar
  • Strong experience with both traditional (Term and Boolean) as well as Concept-based search tools and technologies
  • Microsoft and other certifications beneficial (i.e. MSCDT, MCP, MCSE, PBX)
  • Certification related to Discovery tools like Relativity, Nuix & Computer Forensic Certifications -EnCE, GCFA, CISA, CISM, CCE, CISSP.
  • Extensive experience with search tools and technologies, both traditional (Term and Boolean) as well as Concept-based. This includes such tools as DTSearch, Wave Trident, etc.
  • High level understanding of infrastructure used in a 24x7 production environment, such as servers, storage, networking, and data center elements Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,613 to $171,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
